Connectivity of China

Welcome to ChinaConn, an interactive website to visualize and spatialize China's inter-city transportation network. As of 2019, mainland China has 2851 counties, 239 airports, and 3015 train staions. There are over 6,000 domestic air routes and 200,000 rail routes served by 10,000 sets of trains every day.

On this map, you'll find China's passenger train stations and civil airports with reguarly scheduled commercial flights in the context of China's population geography represented by county-level popuplation density.

Elsewhere on this website, you'll find detailed information about China's airports and train stations and their spatial relation to China's population. You'l also find a connectivity analysis of the capitals of each of China's 31 provinces (not including HK, Macau, or Taiwan), from three separate transportation modes: air, rail, and road. Enjoy!
